Geraldine Mcleod Clifton

Geraldine McLeod Clifton, 79, of Valdosta passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on October 10, 1939 in Valdosta to the late A. B. and Elma Hughes McLeod and was a lifelong resident of Lowndes County. Mrs. Clifton was a member of Central Avenue Church of Christ and retired from Langdale Forestry Products after 60 years of service in the accounting department. She was an active member with the DAR, UDC, Wimodausis Club and Senior Citizens Center. Mrs. Clifton was a member of the Woodmen of the World and a member of the Lowndes County, Echols County and Dasher Historical Societies.
Survivors include two sons and daughters in law, David and Mikki Clifton, Jason and Julie Clifton all of Valdosta; her grandchildren, Carolyn Johnson, Justin Clifton, Jessica Clifton, Lindsey Clifton, Brandon Taylor, Aaron Taylor, Kyle Losser; her great grandchildren, Tiffany Johnson, Hank Johnson, Alonna Clifton, Korbin Mathis, Kortlyn Mathis; three sisters and a brother in law, Delores and Billy Parrish, Faye Clifton all of Valdosta, Barbara Ann Wellman of Jacksonville, FL; brother and sister in law, Woody and Carla McLeod of Quitman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Clifton, Sr., a son, Thomas C. Clifton, Jr. and a brother, Julian McLeod.
Funeral services will be held at 4pm, Monday, May 13, 2019 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Mr. John Klimko officiating. Burial will follow in Dasher Cemetery.
