Geraldine LaForce, 87, of Barney, passed from this life on Thursday, May 21, 2026.  A service for Mrs. LaForce will be held at Martin/McLane Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Lane Stockton will officiate.  The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home Tuesday. A private committal will take place at Hall Cemetery.  

Born on October 16, 1938 in Calypso, North Carolina, Geraldine was the daughter of the late David and Ruby Waters Riverbark.  Widow of the late Robert Lee LaForce, she was a loving wife and homemaker.  

Survivors are her sons, Robert LaForce Jr. of Barney, son and daughter in law, Michael (Mandy) LaForce of Barney, and grandson, Alex (Brandy) LaForce of Orange City, Florida. 

Geraldine loved to garden, and took pride in her gardens of pretty flowers,  her prized bridal bushes, roses, ferns, and hydrangeas.  Her favorite thing most of all was cooking and sharing delicious "passed down" family recipes including meat loaf, squash casserole and especially her big spaghetti and lasagna dinners with everyone sitting around her table for Sunday supper.  Fun times included shopping at JC Penny and Kohls.  Geraldine enjoyed working in ceramics.  She volunteered at Council on Aging in Kissimmee.  She loved attending Lock Haven Baptist Church in Orlando with Preacher Lane Stockton and his wife Kimberly.  Geraldine's family loves and misses her very much but they take comfort in knowing that she is in heaven with her husband Bob, her mother and father and most all she is in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
