Fabian Alexis Ortega

Fabian Alexis Ortega, 16, of Lake Park, GA, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 30, 2023. He was born in Harlingen, TX, on July 16, 2007, to Mary Jo Ortega. A student at Echols County Schools, he enjoyed playing basketball and spending time with his family and friends. He was a great big brother, with the biggest smile and loving heart.

Fabian is survived by his mother, Mary Jo Ortega, four sisters, Esmeralda Hernandez, Ana Grace Hernandez, Maria Dulce Gonzalez, and Nayeli Crystal Gonzalez; his brothers, Alejandro Tovias, Jr, Joaquín Tovias, Andrés Tovias, and Sebastián Tovias; his aunts, Norma Alicia Ortega, Ayelyn Ortega, and Ananny Ulloa; his uncle and aunt, Mauricio Ortega, Jr. and Kimberly Ortega; uncles, Benny Ortega, Adam Ulloa, and Fabricio Ortega; many cousins; and his grandparents, Mauricio Ortega, and Maria Victoria Ortega. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Manuel Garcia and Benigno Ortega, and uncle Manny Ortega.

A funeral service will be held at 4pm on Friday, August 4, 2023 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Ortega Family Cemetery in Lake Park, Georgia.
