Evelyn V. Shiver

Evelyn V. Shiver, 74, of Valdosta, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at her home following a lengthy illness. Born in Lake City, Florida on June 27, 1938, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Martha Edith Carter Williams. Mrs. Shiver had lived in the Valdosta and Brooks County area most of her life.
Survivors are her husband, Mack D. Shiver of Valdosta; daughter, Bernice V. Shiver of Destin, Florida; son and daughter in law, Marty and Linda Shiver of Griffin; daughter and son in law, Nancy and Jeremy Cook of Valdosta; grandchildren, Casey Shiver, Lee and Kim Lightsey of Griffin, Emma Spell, Kaitlyn Cook, Taylor Cook of Valdosta, Teerapongse Klangthamniem of Tampa, Florida, Panee McBride of Americus, Taisak Elmore of Tallahassee, Florida, great grandchildren, Brooke Lightsey, Cole Elmore, Parker Klangthamniem, Kaleb Keys, Damien McBride, Lily McBride; brother and sister in law, Bobby and Audrey Williams.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the mausoleum at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. Reverend Robert Willis will officiate.
