Ernie Robinson, age 70, of Valdosta, formerly of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Langdale Hospice House. Born on July 14, 1955, in Dover, Screven County, Georgia, Ernie was the beloved son of the late Isiah and Emma Lee Davis Robinson.
Ernie dedicated much of his career to Central Broward Construction Company, where he was known for his hard work and commitment. Beyond his professional life, Ernie found joy in the simple pleasures—he took great pride in cleaning automobiles and cherished spending time at Carter Park and The Down Beat. A lover of music, he especially enjoyed the “golden oldies” that filled his days with warmth and nostalgia. His favorite pastime was watching wrestling, particularly WWE Raw, and classic westerns on television. Ernie's active spirit was evident in his daily walking routine, and his favorite color was red.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Dolores Robinson of Valdosta; his children, Tangela Robinson of Ft. Lauderdale, Monica Bouie and Samantha Bouie of Valdosta, and Katrina Bouie of Ft. Lauderdale; as well as his cherished grandchildren, Trevon Robinson, Kayla Bouie and Rashad Crews of Ft. Lauderdale, Kristina Bouie and Kristopher Bouie of Valdosta, Xavier Hodges of Ft. Lauderdale, and Kristain Shipp, Elijah Shipp, and Elisabeth-Marie Shipp of Valdosta.
A private family gathering will be held prior to cremation to honor Ernie's memory in an intimate setting.
McLane Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with the care of the Robinson family during this time.
