Eloise Parker Blanton

Eloise Parker Blanton, 89, of Dixie, GA, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. Born in Boston, GA, on December 30, 1933 to the late Clayton S. Parker and Lela Kearse Parker. She was a lifelong member of West End Presbyterian Church. Eloise had worked for South Georgia Medical Center and retired after 31 years in the business office.

Eloise was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie E. Blanton, Sr., her eldest son, David L. Blanton, brother Troy A. Parker and his wife Faye, sister Bobbie Ann McDonald and her husband Alton, sister Shirley West, and brother-in-law Alton Swain.

Eloise is survived by her children, Ernie E. (Jake) Blanton, Jr. and his wife Priscilla, of Lake Park, GA, G. Daniel Tyson and his wife Tonya, of Richmond Hills, GA, Michael J. Blanton, of Lake Park, GA, Mary Lou DeLoach, of Navasota, TX, Beth T. Vickers and her husband Rick, of Dixie, GA; daughter-in-law, Jackie J. Blanton, of Gray, GA; sister Geneva P. Swain, of Valdosta, GA; her grandchildren, Jimmy Blanton, Chris Blanton, Brandon Blanton, of Lake Park, GA, Emily Tyson Gardner, of St. Charles, MO, Gabrielle Roberts, of Albany, GA, Ashlyn Tyson, of Hinesville, GA, Michael J. Blanton, Jr., of Augusta, GA, Amanda Verdin, of Atlanta, GA, Robbie DeLoach, Jr., of Valdosta, GA, Melissa D. Isenhour, of St. Louis, Illinois, Christina Vickers, of Tallahassee, FL, and David W. Blanton, of Gray, GA; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Funeral services for Eloise will be held at 11am on Monday, June 26, 2023 at the Carson McLane Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend John Akers officiating. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10-11am.
