Ellen Mcleod Brockway

Rose Ellen Evans McLeod Brockway, 77, of Lucedale, MS and Valdosta, passed away January 20, 2015 at St. Vincent's Riverside Center in Jacksonville, FL after a brief illness. She was born January 2, 1938 in Waycross, GA to the late Lawrence and Lizzie Cason Evans. Known to most as Ellen, Mrs. Brockway had attended Airport Church of Christ and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Brockway is survived by her husband Ivan Brockway of Lucedale, MS; a son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Linda McLeod of Hoboken, GA; a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Greg Tucker of Morven, GA; one grandson, Ryan and Rondha Fornes of Lake Park, GA; two great grandchildren, Cayson Fornes and Bryce Taylor of Lake Park, GA; one sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Glen Berger; one niece, Lisa Hightower Bryant of Albany, GA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Wiley Lee "Buddy" McLeod.

A graveside service for Ellen Brockway will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 p.m. at Carson McLane Funeral Home. Condolences to family can be made online at www.mclanecares.com.
