Edwin Harold Gutberlet

Edwin H. Gutberlet, 86, of Hahira, died at Fellowship Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Born in Mineola, Nassau County, New York, on February 19, 1921, he was the son of the late Edwin S. and Beulah Norris Gutberlet. He was an Army veteran of WWII and was retired from AT&T where he had worked as a Communications Engineer.

Survivors are his daughter and son in law, Susan and Bryan Doak of Hahira, a son and daughter in law, Alan and Patti Gutberlet of Crystal Beach, Florida, six grandchildren, and sisters, Dorothy Erhardt of Seattle, Washington and Beulah Kerr of Long Island, New York. His wife, Sheila Dunsmore Gutberlet preceded him in death.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2007, at 5 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Pastor Darren Waters Sr. will officiate. Condolences may be conveyed online at www.mclanefuneralservices.com
