Edward Lee Lashley, 79, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 in a local hospice facility. Mr. Lashley was born in Valdosta, Georgia and lived in the Jacksonville area since the age of 12. He attended Andrew Jackson Sr. High School, attended Garden City Community Church and was a member of Moose Lodge #2020. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog Fan, a member of the I'll Remember You Elvis Fan Club in Jacksonville and loved watching the South Georgia Rhythm Cloggers aka JCS Cloggers.

Mr. Lashley was preceded in death by his parents, J.W. Lashley and Lottie Mae Lashley; 3 brothers, John W. Lashley, Jr., Lonnie Lashley and Russell Johnson; and 3 sisters, Sylvia Helen Lashley, Lucy Willis and Janie Schultz.

Mr. Lashley is survived by his loving wife, Diane Lashley; 3 step-children, Elisha Presley (Darrell), Richard Pafford (Kim) and Dewayne Plymal (Jessica); brother, Daniel Lashley (Rikki); 10 grandchildren, Joshua Hansen (Kristen), Dustin Presley (Nikki), Kevin Pafford (Jennifer), Douglas Presley (Nicole), Hannah McCook (Ian), Dylan Presley (Jessica), Brooke Plymal, Dallas Plymal, Paige Plymal and Levi Plymal; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at the Event Center at Peeples, 14165 N. Main Street (Building C), with Joshua Hansen officiating and honors given by the Moose Lodge. His family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service at the funeral home.

Locally, additional services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 14, 2026 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home, 2215 N. Patterson Street, Valdosta, GA, with Jerry Peed officiating. Burial will follow in Campground Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home, prior to the service.
