Edna Earle Pafford

Edna E. Pafford, 86, lifetime resident of Statenville died on Friday, December 17, 2004. For the past three years Miss Pafford had made her home at Fellowship Home in Brooks County. She was born on July 30, 1918, in Statenville, the daughter of the late John W. and Jessie Sharpe Pafford. A graduate of Valdosta State College, Miss Pafford had taught school for several years in Echols County before becoming Director of Family and Childrens Services in Echols County and later in Lowndes County.

Survivors are her sister, Vivian Pafford of Statenville; a brother and sister in law, John S. and JoAnn Pafford of Annapolis, MD; nephews, John W. Pafford and Todd A. Pafford also of Annapolis. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Pafford.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home on Monday, December 20, 2004, at 2 p.m. Reverend Fred Foster will officiate. A committal service will be held at Sunset Hill Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Statenville United Methodist Church.
