Dr. James P. Kacsmarik, Sr.

Dr. James P. Kacsmarik, Sr., 71, of Valdosta, died on Sunday, January 20, 2008 at Langdale Hospice House. He was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1936 to the late Charles and Mae Dolan Kacsmarik. He was a retired school principal in Arlington County, Virginia and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church.

Survivors include his children; a son, James Kacsmarik, Jr. and daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Art Saffelle all of Bentonville, VA.; a daughter Katie Kacsmarik of Valdosta; two granddaughters, Courtney Massey of Bentonville, VA., and Jayden Harrison of Valdosta.

A graveside service for Dr. James P. Kacsmarik, Sr. will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens with Father Aaron Killips officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of South Georgia.
