Faye Smith

Dorothy Faye Smith, born on August 11, 1946, in La Fayette, AL, passed away on May 20, 2024, at Lake City Hospital in Lake City, Florida. She was the beloved daughter of Lodia Barr and Sarah Nell (Rowell) Wyers and was deeply cherished by all who knew her.

Faye loved spending her time with her family and grandchildren. She always wanted to be in the yard, and she loved her flowers. Faye was very proud of her role as a Correctional Officer.

Faye is survived by three daughters, Debra Smith and Patricia Easters of Jasper, FL and Marsha Collins and husband Dwayne of Lake Park, GA; a grandson, Brett Smith of Jasper, FL; three granddaughters, Jennifer Reiss and husband Matthew of Valdosta, GA, Amber Griffith and Elizabeth Young of Jasper, FL; twelve great-grandchildren, Dallas, Bradley, Aaron, Hannah, Hailey, Kylie, Jasmine, Alyssa, Aiden, Addilyn, Ruby, Riley, and Blair as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, May 23, 2024 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10-11am.

Burial will be held at 2pm at Lovejoy Cemetery in Stockton, GA.
