Dorothy Mary Griggs

Dorothy Mary Griggs, born on February 14, 1927, passed away on November 6, 2023. She was the cherished daughter of the late John and Mary Gertrude Jarvis, and her life was filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments.

Dorothy had a zest for life. She found immense joy in exploring the world, indulging in her passion for shopping, and adding her creative touch to decorating. She reveled in movies and delighted in dining out, savoring each culinary experience. Her love for literature, particularly mysteries, painted her world with intrigue and wonder.

Above all, Dorothy held a special place in her heart for her family. She adored her two sons, Robert Griggs of Valdosta, GA, and Scott Griggs and his wife Amy of Valdosta, GA. Her legacy lives on through her four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and the many lives she touched.

Prior to her husband's passing, Dorothy and her beloved partner enjoyed enchanting nights out on the town, creating cherished memories together.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dorothy's life at the Carson McLane Funeral Home on Friday, November 10th, 2023. The visitation will begin at 10 am, followed by a service at 11 am. In honoring Dorothy's memory, the family requests donations to be made to a charity of your choice.
