Dorothy Jane Brown Chauncey

Dorothy Jane Brown Chauncey, 82, of Lake Park died Friday, September 27, 2013 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on May 9, 1931 in Pinetta, FL to the late Yeager Spear Brown and Ida Marie Williams Brown. Mrs. Chauncey was retired from Owens Illinois Bag Plant and was a member of Bethel Church of God.

She is survived by two very special nieces and their husbands, Dorothea and Mark Kinsey and DeAnne and Pete Sandlin all of Lake Park, very special great nieces and nephews, Tony Kinsey (Amber) of Clinch County, Rebecca K. Ehling (Matt), Trey Sandlin and Justin Sandlin all of Lake Park, her sister, Louise Hughes of Valdosta, her brother in law, Calvin Gaston of Pinetta, many other nieces, nephews and step children. Mrs. Chauncey is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James B. Chauncey, special baby sister, Ida B. Russ, sister, Marie B. Gaston and brother, Tommy Brown.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 30, 2013 at three p. m. at Bethel Church of God with Reverend Daryl Pate and Reverend Richard Brookins officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Cemetery. She will lie in state in the church one hour prior to the service.
