Doris Larus

Doris Tomlinson Larus, 95, passed away on March 2, 2023, in Homerville, GA. Mrs. Larus was born in Hildreth, Suwanee County, Florida on September 13, 1927, to the late Isbin and Eloise Roberts Tomlinson. Mrs. Larus loved reading, especially mystery novels. She was an excellent cook, and a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed singing in her church, Naylor Baptist Church, where she was very involved. She was a prayer warrior. She was considered a friend of all people and she touched many lives.

Mrs. Larus is survived by her children, Dianne (Wesley) Harrell of Naylor, Sherry (John) Mixon of Land-o-lakes, FL, grandchildren, Dana (Joey) Ellis of Naylor, Mark (Angie) Harrell, of Valdosta, Ami (James) Fitzgerald of Riverview, FL, Keri (Todd) Stickler of Springhill, FL; great grandchildren, Michael (Allie) Ellis, of Darien, GA, Dakoda Ellis, of Lakeland, GA, Wyatt Ellis of Mobile, AL, Presley Ellis, of Naylor, GA, Brayden Harrell, of Valdosta, GA, Avery Harrell, of Valdosta, Conor (Fiancée Abby) Fitzgerald, Sean Fitzgerald, Colin Fitzgerald all of Riverview, FL, Dylan Mixon, of Land-o-lakes, FL, Chase Stickler, of Springhill, FL, and Carter Stickler, of Springhill, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Leigh Larus, her parents, and sister Ann Strickland.

The service for Mrs. Doris Larus will be held at 3pm on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Naylor Baptist Church with Brother Wesley Harrell officiating. Burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery.
