Diana Lynn Campbell, lovingly known to many as "Nona," passed away on August 10, 2026, in Lakeland, Georgia, at the age of 81. 

Diana was born on June 22, 1945, in Hartford City, Indiana, to Eugene Campbell and Vivian Hoover Campbell. She grew up in Hartford City, where she graduated before following her adventurous spirit and love of travel to Washington, D.C. There, she began a career working for the federal government, where she remained until her retirement. Following retirement, Diana made her home in Valdosta, Georgia, choosing to be close to her beloved granddaughter. 

Diana lived a life filled with adventure, music, laughter, and, above all else, family. She traveled extensively throughout her life and was a wonderfully talented musician. An avid sports fan, Diana's love of athletics went well beyond watching from the sidelines. For many years, she coached girls' basketball and softball, sharing her time, encouragement, and competitive spirit with generations of young athletes. 

Those who knew Diana knew that she was simply one of the best people to be around. She was extraordinarily generous, possessed an unforgettable sense of humor, and had a strength that inspired those fortunate enough to know and love her. She could make people laugh, make them feel welcome, and somehow make life a little brighter just by being there. 

More than anything, Diana loved her family. They were the center of her world and the greatest joy of her life. To those who called her Nona, and to the many family members and friends who loved her, the memories of her laughter, strength, generosity, and unwavering love will remain a treasured part of their lives.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Christina & Christopher Okuma of Valdosta; son and partner, Jarrod Campbell & Christian Barnett of Herndon, VA; sisters, Judy Rench Jordan of Hahira, GA and Marlene (Butch) Case of Oxford, FL; and granddaughter and fiancé, Savana Okuma and Bryan Gardner of Lake Park, GA; along with many cherished nieces, nephews, and beloved extended family and friends. She was preceded by her parents and her sister, Darlene Campbell.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Boys & Girls Club in Diana's honor, a fitting tribute to someone who gave so much of herself to young people throughout her life.
