Debbie Scharton

Debbie Scharton, 51, of Valdosta, died at Smith Northview Hospital on Monday, January 21, 2008. Born in Key West, Florida on October 10, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Sarah Symonette Scharton. Miss Scharton had attended the LARC Training Center in the past.

Survivors are her sister and brother in law, Carolyn and Roger Mays of Blackshear; a niece and her spouse, Laura and Donnie Smith, nephew, Thomas Mays, uncle and aunt, Bill and Donna Scharton of Cherry Valley, California; caretakers, Rhonda Jones and Lisa Sommerville of Valdosta. She was also preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Irvin and Minnie Symonette, aunt and uncle, Bob and Ernestine Symonette, caretaker, Mary McDonald.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Reverend Doug Mays and Reverend Paul Dupree will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
