Debbie Childs, 65, of Valdosta, GA, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026. She was born in Tallahassee, Florida, on November 9, 1960 to the late Ernestine Kirkland and Charles Kirkland.

She is survived by her three sons, Andy (Stacey) Childs, Tony (Brittney) Childs, and Justin Nichols, all of Valdosta; two daughters, Sadie (Alex) Kurtz and Athena (Jimmy) Colon, both of Valdosta; sisters, Tammy (Roger) Daffin of Lake Wales, FL, Diane DeMaranville of Hahira, and Peggy ( Rich) Burnash of Valdosta; grandchildren, Brendon Childs, Braxton Childs, both of Atlanta, Waylon Kurtz, Emmett Kurtz, and Kayce Kurtz, all of Valdosta, Olivia Magiera of New York, and Eizen Colon and Harlene Colon; as well as a host of nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded by her parents; her husband, Raymond Childs; and brother-in-law, John DeMaranville.

A funeral service for Ms. Childs will be held on Saturday, September 12 at 11 a.m. at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home Chapel.
