Born on July 18, 1966, in Alaska, Danny was a gifted musician and a cherished member of the praise and worship team at Pauline Baptist Church, where his musical talents and steadfast faith inspired many. Preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Arthur and Martha Ruth Lightfoot Ray, and his brother, Georgia Phillip Ray, Danny is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Beth, his sisters Talisa Ray Thornton (Roy) and Sheila Ray Knight (Perry), as well as his children Jeremy Ray, Dylan Ray (Kristen), Danielle Ray, Zach Greene (Sara), Tessa Carder (Daniel), Tyler Greene (Elizabeth), and Adam Greene (Lori). He was a proud grandfather to Alexandria, Adleigh, Drayke, Liam, Harper, Houstyn, Palmer, Frankylynn, and Palmer, and was surrounded by many beloved relatives, friends, and fellow 41 South Band members who cherished him deeply.

Danny’s life was marked by his warm spirit and unwavering commitment to his faith, which shone through in his roles as a husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His deep love for his wife Beth was evident to all who knew them, and he delighted in spoiling his grandchildren, creating treasured memories that will endure. His impact on the lives of those around him is a testament to the godly man he was, filled with the Holy Spirit and a heart full of love.

A memorial service to celebrate Danny’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Pauline Baptist Church, with family visiting from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. Pastor Adam Greene and Pastor Bryan Jarvis will officiate the service.
