Dana Joyce Legette

Dana Joyce Legette, 80, of Valdosta, GA. passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024 at the Fellowship Home Brookside. She was born January 16, 1944 in Valdosta, GA to the late Casper and Kathryn Fender Sellars.

Joyce was a loving homemaker who attended Corinth Baptist Church and Grace Baptist Church. She was always spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Legette enjoyed fishing, watching church and reading her bible. She was never seen without her signature lipstick.

Mrs. Legette is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Frank) Johnson, Kathy Legette Maartense, both of Valdosta; her grandchildren, Matthew (Tiffany) Hall; Tiffany (Nick) Kovacs, of Michigan; Taylor (Michael) Pickett, of Valdosta; great grandchildren, Lilly Hall, Alanna Hall, Brantley Hall, Matthew Hall, Jr, Blakely Pickett, Landon Pickett, Grayson Pickett, Calli Hall, Kylie Minter, Emersyn Kovacs and Piper Kovacs; great great-grandchild Oaklynn; and her sister, Mary Kaye Perry, of Valdosta; Preceded in death by other than her parents her husband, Jerry Legette; three brothers, Carl, Donald and Phillip Sellars.

Services for Mrs. Legette will be held at 2pm on Saturday December 28, 2024 at the Martin McLane Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Henry Cannington officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery in Hahira. Visitation will be held from 1-2pm.
