Dana Cherie Hendley Reaves

Dana Cherie Hendley Reaves, born July 14, 1968 died on Friday, February 8, 2019 at her home surrounded by loved ones after a courageous five year battle with cancer. Dana, a devoted wife, mother and “Mimi” was a faithful Christian and a member of Ephesus Baptist Church in Villa Rica, GA.

She is survived by Stan Reaves Jr., her husband of 32 years; children, Stan (Amber) Reaves III of Douglasville, GA, and Austin (Leslie) Reaves of Carrolton, GA; grandchildren Stanley IV, Adalyn, Samson, Ryder and another grandbaby due in July; parents, Donald J. Hendley Sr. of Valdosta and Faye Barwick Hendley of Valdosta; father in law and mother in law, Stan, Sr. and Sandy Reaves of Young Harris, GA; siblings, Lori (Britt) Voigt, Peggy Hart, and Donald (Angie) Hendley II, all of Valdosta, GA; brother in law Matt (Amy) Reaves of Hahira, GA; sister in law Kim Reaves Norris of Statesboro, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by Bruce, Sr. and Lena Barwick, Howell Hendley and Gladys Hendley, and a cherished nephew, Parker Donald Hendley.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Northside Baptist Church in Valdosta, GA, and will be presided over by Reverend Matthew Isennock of Ephesus Baptist Church, Villa Rica, GA and Dr. Billy Godwin of Ephesus Baptist Church, Villa Rica, GA. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12-2:30 p.m. Interment will be at Sunset Cemetery in Valdosta, GA.
