Cooper Brice Cooper, age 39, of Valdosta, passed from this life on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Regency Critical Hospital in Macon. He was born in Valdosta on October 28, 1985.
Cooper was a graduate of McEachern High School in Powder Springs, GA. He worked for the City of Valdosta and was a member of First Baptist Church of Marietta. Known for his creative spirit and vibrant personality, Cooper had a deep love for fishing and enjoyed building all sorts of things. He was especially talented at acrylic painting on canvas. A skilled cook who loved to eat, Cooper was known for leaving a “mess” in the kitchen — and for making it worth it.
He shared an especially close bond with his Nana and Papa, Edna and Bernard, and above all, Cooper’s greatest joy in life was his precious daughter, Avalynn. He cherished every moment they spent together.
Cooper is survived by his beloved daughter, Avalynn Cooper of Valdosta; his mother, Edna W. Cooper of Valdosta; his aunt, Joellen Cooper-Pyles and her husband, Victor Deen, of Savannah; the mother of his daughter, Kayla Fisher, and her husband, Nathan, of Valdosta; and cousins Sarah and Ameer Elsokkary of Thompson Station, Tennessee, Ashlee Cooper of Atlanta, Austin Dalton of Atlanta, along with a wide circle of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his birth mother, Beth Cooper Morgan; his father, C. Bernard Cooper; and his aunt, Donna Cooper Dalton.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the River Pavilion at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
