In 1965, he received his real estate broker license and formed Slocumb Insurance and Realty Co. where he enjoyed a long 35-year career and retired in 1996.

In the early 1970’s, Clint and friend Blake Ellis developed Eastwind Subdivision in Valdosta, and later on Clint developed the Perimeter Park Condos, duplexes, and single-family homes. In 1974, he was elected and served as the youngest President of Valdosta Board of Realtors.
