Our Mother: Queen, Fortress, Intelligent, Adventurous, Kind, Compassionate, Funny and Genuinely, Beautiful inside and out with an abundance of Unconditional Love for All.

Clara Fingar has been called by The Lord, for his gift of Eternal Peace. She is predeceased by her loving, husband Sam Scardigno and her beloved, son Michael.

Born in Germany, enduring the trials and trauma of WWII, her mother Maria, provided her with the option of attending Fashion Design School, in France or going to America.

At the age of 21, Miss Clara boarded a Cruise Ship and a week later arrived in the USA. Joining her cousin Anny and began her incredible journey, in our beloved, little town, Hoboken, NJ.

Miss Clara was an amazing seamstress and formed a great bond with the Pescatore Family and secured employment in their Fur Coat Facility.

Soon she met and married, our Father and later gave birth to twins, Michael and Angela and years later, Maria.

She worked diligently, caring for the children, becoming proficient in the English language and was a very active member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of Hoboken, NJ. She organized and participated in the Sunday, Pancake Breakfasts, Chinese Auctions, Advertising and the Siena Club. Her love and compassion never failed.

Miss Clara was a mom to all. She kept us children active, ice and roller skating, little league baseball, boy and girl scouts, bowling leagues, basketball and cheerleading. She kept us grounded in our faith and taught us Unconditional love which is forever ingrained in our hearts.

Later in life, mom expanded her career and joined AT&T and Bell Laboratories from which she retired and moved to Florida.

She enjoyed outdoor concerts, cocktails on the beach, and could be found on the Gulf waters, throttle wide-open on her Donzi. She especially loved cooking and enjoyed hosting her many friends of 30 years and all the gatherings and laughter.

At the age of 92, a road trip made Miss Clara fall in love with our majestic pines and rows of blossoming crape myrtles and insisted on moving to our final destination in Georgia.

Miss Clara quickly became well known around town and people just had to stop and speak with her. Within a few years’ time, she visited many surrounding towns, parks and restaurants.

Her favorite being, euro-style Covington's and most recently, Big Nicks!

Most known for her classy, sassy, sharp dressing and incredible hat collection. She never would be considered a frumpy old lady! A gracious lady, through and through.

When at home, she enjoyed her rose garden and bird-watching, fun times with neighbors, Lennard and Ivy. Most of all, mom enjoyed every moment of life and strived to be happy in all circumstances.

She is survived by her daughters Angela and Maria. Her life-partner, Herbert, his sons, Glen and David; Nephews, Sime and wife, Mary, children: Robert, Samantha and Josef and wife Kayla, Josef and wife Barbara and son Josef Max and wife Jessica, Michael and wife Delores, son Zachary, Joseph Scardigno and in Germany, Cousin Rudolf, Astrid, Daughter Marika, Andreas and wife Annique, Niece Claudia, Stepchildren, Natalie and Marcel of late husband, Eric, Daughter Justine and husband Alex.
