Christopher Lawrence Thomas, 50, of Valdosta, died on June 30, 2025, at his residence. Chris was born on April 26, 1975, in Wiesbaden, Germany, to the late Michael Thomas and Cecelia Fontaine Chinn and was a graduate of Valdosta High School. Chris was a self-employed contractor/carpenter and had worked all over Valdosta on various job sites. He had a passion for collecting rocks, which went hand in hand with his love for being outdoors. He disliked sitting around and was known for needing to be busy and making the most of his time and day. Chris was of the Catholic faith.
Chris is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jackson and Chloe Green of North Carolina and Tristan Thomas of Valdosta; his mother, Cecelia Chinn and her husband Kenneth Chinn of Orange Park, Florida, and two brothers, Michael Thompson and Nicholas Delesandro. He was preceded in death by his father Michael Thomas and his older brother Michael Dell Thomas.
A graveside memorial service for Chris Thomas will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Quitman, Georgia. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane.
