Cheryl Kellerman Wheeler, 81, of Valdosta, died on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Fellowship Home. Born in Valdosta to the late Abrham Kellerman & Annie Virginia Lane Kellerman, she had been a lifelong resident of this area. Growing up here, she graduated from Lowndes High School in the early 1960’s. For many years, Cheryl helped families beautifully decorate their homes as an interior decorator. She also loved creating beautiful things with her hands. A devoted member of Morningside Baptist Church, Cheryl was devoted to serving the Lord and studying His word. She also loved spending time with her family and cooking for them.

Survivors include two sons, James Kenneth Wheeler of Valdosta and Mark Christopher (& Stephanie Osheim) Wheeler of Valdosta; two grandsons, Caleb Michael Wheeler and Roman James Wheeler; and two granddaughters, Magan Osheim and Savannah Osheim. Also surviving are a sister and brother in law, Annette & David Fender of Valdosta; a brother and sister in law, Lon & Dede Kellerman of St. Augustine, FL; a brother in law, James Mullis of Roanoke, VA, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Wheeler, a daughter in law, Michelle Wheeler; three sisters, Carole Kellerman, Sandra Miller, and Sheila Mullis; and her brother, Barry Kellerman.

A graveside service will be held at 10 am on Friday, April 17, 2026 at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. Pastor Wayne Robertson will officiate. Condolences may be conveyed to the family on the obituary page of www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane Funeral Home
