She was born in Brewton, AL to the late Herman & Claudia Morris Lunsford, on November 9, 1944. The family spent a few years in Chumuckla, FL before moving to Clyattville when Charlotte was in elementary school. She graduated from Lowndes County High School in 1962 where she met Larry Dennis. Charlotte was a devoted mom, raising her girls and was always active and present at their school activities. She worked briefly at Pearl Optical in downtown Valdosta and then Sears. Her majority of years worked consisted of helping her husband on the farm, Dennis Farms, and was his office manager at their business, Lowndes Ginning, for decades. A devoted homemaker, she took great care of her family, especially the grandkids and her siblings as well. She enjoyed working outside in her yard and garden to then can the products of her labor. Her children and grandchildren most fondly remember her love for cooking for her family, making candy during holidays for the kids, and shopping at any time— especially for shoes at the late Country Cobbler where most certainly every worker knew her name.
