Charles Howard Davis, 79, of Valdosta, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2013 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born August 24, 1933, in Fitzgerald, GA, a son of the late Edward and Ruby Goff Davis. He was a retired veteran of the United States Air Force.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kim Alderman (Jerry) of Valdosta; two sons and daughters-in-law, Andy Davis (Michele) of Monroe, NC; and Ricky Davis (Tina) of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Daniel Hamilton, Charlotte, NC; Aaron Davis of Monroe, NC; Chad Parrish of Valdosta; Avery Alderman of Valdosta; Mara Davis of Atlanta, GA; and John Ross Davis of Atlanta, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Betty E. Davis.
A graveside service for Mr. Davis will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 1, 2013, at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jim Schappaugh officiating.
