Charles Ray Hagood, age 81, of Hahira, peacefully passed away at his home on Saturday, December 20, 2025. Born on April 27, 1945, in Fairfield, Alabama, he was the beloved son of the late Grady Washington Hagood and Cora Myrtle Crawford Hagood.

Charles honorably served in the U.S. Air Force before retiring and dedicating 20 years as a professional truck driver. A devoted family man and faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church, he was deeply committed to his community and generously contributed his time to Meals on Wheels. Known for his storytelling and love of fishing, Charles brought warmth and joy to those around him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Edmonds Hagood of Hahira; daughters Fellicia Hagood Crowell of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, and Tonia Hagood of Hahira; son Billy Hagood and his wife Kari of Hahira; and cherished grandchildren Adaline and Olivia Hagood. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Jessie and Ralph Hagood; and sisters-in-law Margaret and Pauline Hagood.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to all caregivers for their compassionate support and kindness.

A funeral service to celebrate Charles’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Fellowship Baptist Church, with Reverend Ike Jefferson officiating. Family and friends are invited to visit from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fellowship Baptist Church Building Fund, 2239 Hutchinson Pond Road, Hahira, GA 31632.
