Charlie "Bo" Edward Garvitte, Sr. of Quitman, Georgia passed away on November 2, 2025
after a lengthy illness. A lifelong resident of this area, he was born to Barney and Ruthie E. Garvitte on January 14,1950. Mr. Garvitte was employed by Brooks County Sausage Company as a supervisor of his shift. He enjoyed riding dirt roads, hanging with family and friends, fishing, sitting around the fire with loved ones.
Mr. Garvitte is survived by his wife Dawn Garvitte; daughter Amy Hall of Quitman, Ga; stepdaughter Donna Benedick of Springfield, Il; grandchildren, Gracen Fender of Moultrie, Ga ; Ivy Fender of Ray City, Ga ; great grandchildren, Sophia Alderman of Ray City, Ga; Elaina Fender of Ray City, Ga; and Oaklynn Fender of Columbus, Ga ; sisters, Juanita (Raymond) Sapp; Shirley (Jimmy) Sapp of Quitman, Ga; as well as multiple aunts and uncles, and numerous good friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Ricky and Barney "Lavonne" Garvitte; son Charlie "Eddie" Edward Garvitte, Jr, and Barbara Garvitte, the mother of his children.
Mr Gravitte’s family will hold a private memorial service and urn burial at a later date.
McLane Funeral and Cremation Services have been entrusted to care for the Garvitte family.
