Charles Allen Kinsey

Charles Allen Kinsey, 68, of Valdosta passed away Friday August 19, 2022 at South Georgia Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was born in Valdosta, on October 18, 1953 to the late Leon Troy and Annie Davis Kinsey. Mr. Kinsey was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. He was an electrician with Package Corporation of America where he retired after 34 years. He was a Mason and a Past Master of Alapaha Lodge # 209 in Statenville. Mr. Kinsey served as Union President for IBEW Local 1947 for many years.
Surviving Mr. Kinsey is his wife, Nancy Rentz Kinsey of Valdosta; brother, Daryl Kinsey of Howell; sister and brother-in-law, Donna Evans (Gary) of Lake Park; brother and sister-in-law, Mark Kinsey (Dorothea) of Lake Park; sisters-in-law, Frances Moore (Terry) of Valdosta and Carol Dyess of Claxton. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Kinsey is preceded in death by his parents, four sisters-in-law Beverly Kinsey, Peggy Williamson, Shirley Lindler, and Laura Rentz, and three brothers-in-law, Rickey Rentz, Bobby Rentz and Lex Dyess.
Graveside services for Mr. Kinsey will be on Monday August 22, 2022 at 11:30 am in Sunset Hill Cemetery Valdosta. Officiating will be Rev. Yancey Hartman, and Rev. Henry Cannington. Condolences may be expressed online at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane Funeral Home.
