Carol Jean Rafferty June 12,2025 Carol Jean Rafferty, age 82, of Valdosta, Georgia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 12th, 2025, at South Georgia Medical Center.
She was born on October 10, 1942 to the late Paul Kirschke Sr and Ellen Lester Kirschke.
A dedicated and hard-working woman, Carol worked for many years alongside her husband William in the food service industry. After the loss of her husband in 1998, Carol decided to retire and devote all of her attention towards her family, whom she loved with all of her heart.
Carol loved, knew, and trusted god. She was a faithful member of Greenwood Baptist Church and thought very highly of her church family.
Carol is survived by her loving children: daughters, Susan and Cheryl Rafferty, both of Valdosta, GA, her son William Rafferty Jr (Lori). She was a proud and devoted grandmother to James Davies and Shannon, Dillon, Ryan, and Caitlyn Rafferty. Her great-grandchildren Zachery and Jordus Beard, Ariyella Davies, and Tatyanna Robbins.
Carol also leaves behind her siblings Paul Kirschke Jr, Barbara (James) Burns, and Michael (Kathy) Kirschke.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William D Rafferty Sr and her son David Rafferty.
