Carol Sue Platt

Carol Sue Brown Platt, 90, of Lake Park, died on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Cornerstone Hospice in Orlando, Florida. She was born on November 24, 1934, in Holopaw, Florida to the late Cossie William and Temperance Ruth Mann Brown. Mrs. Platt worked with the St. Lucie County School system in Florida as a bus driver and was of the Baptist faith. She loved to crochet, travel, was a great cook and an avid reader.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Allan and Rosie Platt of Lake Park, Georgia, Debbie and Chuck Schmitzer of Stuart, Florida, David and Cheryl Platt of Ft. Pierce, Florida, and Angela and Steve Ricker of Summerfield, Florida; her grandchildren and their spouses, Jason and Becky Platt and Justin and Tanya Platt all of Auburndale, Florida, Davey Platt, Amy Platt and Fiancé Shayne Hutton, all of Ft. Pierce, Florida, Amanda and Rashid Zubi of Orlando, Florida, and Evan Schmitzer of Stuart, Florida; 10 great-grandchildren; her brother, Donald Brown of Macon, Georgia and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband, Henry Jackson Platt, Jr. and four brothers.

Services for Carol Platt will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home with Jason Platt officiating. The burial will follow in the Carter Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home.
