Carol Jean Adams, 82, of Valdosta, GA, formerly from Texarkana, AR and Hope, AR, passed into the arms of her Savior on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. The beloved adopted daughter of Mary Angie Hay, born on Sept. 8, 1941. Carol Jean was a graduate of Arkansas High School, in Texarkana AR. Carol Jean was very active and loved being involved in Girl Scouts, as a leader, in Hope AR. She worked at Lone Star Army Ammunitions, Hope Senior Services, and she retired from Moody Air Force Base, Valdosta, after twenty years of dedicated service. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, Valdosta, GA.

She is preceded in death by her husband Gerald Adams, her mother, 9 brothers and sisters, two very special "sister nieces" Brenda Fontanot and Mary Catherine Sword, and her granddaughter Angela Eddy.

Mrs. Adams is survived by her 4 children, Annette and Steve Eddy of Fouke, AR, Roy Allen Cornett, Tresia Adams, and Willard and Beth Adams, all of Valdosta, GA; grandchildren, Steven and Whitney Eddy, Cailey Adams, and Maura Adams; great-grandchildren, Gauge, Cheyenne and Shelby Eddy, and a number of nieces and nephews. 

No local services will be held at this time. A private service will be held in the future at Holly Springs Methodist Church, Fouke, AR.
