Bonnie Sue Cooper, 75, of Valdosta, GA, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026. She was born on February 11, 1951 in Pelham, GA, to the late Mary and Lloyd Brinkley.

Ms. Cooper was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a dedicated homemaker who loved needlepoint, and was a choir member at Greenwood Baptist Church. She fought a brave battle with MS for many years.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Wayne Cooper of Valdosta; sons, Dale (Marsha) Hodges of Valdosta and Michael (Stephanie) Cooper of Wake Forrest, NC; daughters, Bonnie Michelle Opse of Lynchburg, VA and Allyson Cooper of Valdosta; grandchildren, Alex Opse, Stephanie Opse & Jeb Holmes, Jacob Cooper, Logan Cooper, and Aaron Cooper; great-grandchildren, Liam Hernandez-Nieves, and Lilith Holmes; and siblings, Ricky & Tammy Brinkley and Ronnie Brinkley. She was preceded by her parents.

A service for Ms. Cooper will be held on Friday, August 14 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Clyde Stokes officiating. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
