Bobby James Davis, 87, of Valdosta Georgia, died Friday, April 10, 2026 of complications from cancer. He was born on May 30, 1938 in Cook County Georgia, son of the late Jack L. Davis and Eloise Daniel Davis Noles and Ralph Noles. Mr. Davis was an active member of Dasher Church of Christ and retired from his business, Discount Resturaunt Equipment. He was an enthusiastic member and previous president of the Exchange Club of Valdosta and was part of the Valdosta Wildcats championship legacy of the mid 1950’s. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, fishing, working in his yard, taking care of his chickens and putting up fruits and vegetables.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Tomlinson Davis, two sisters, Eunice Davis Hendricks and Cheryl Noles Trogdon both of Valdosta; his brothers and sisters in law, Pat and Sandra Davis of Hahira; his son, Danny Davis and granddaughter Bonni Davis of Orlando: his son David Davis of Ocala, grandson Cale Davis and Lori Davis and great granddaughters Ramona and Wendy of Richmond: his granddaughter Mia Davis and Ehrick Costello and great granddaughter Amelia of Norfolk, and his granddaughter Alie Davis of Durham. Also, his much loved nieces and nephews are Eric Hendricks, Brett and Lynette Hendricks, Chet Hendricks, Beth Jackson, Sally Davis, Pat II and Dottie Davis, Dawn and Gene Ross, Dee and Kenny Ott, Lauree and Chandler Griffin, Amber Powell, Jesse Moore and Shannon Faye Moore, Dusty Moore, Jamie Moore, Terry and Chuck Blackwell, Phil and Cheryl Tomlinson, Angie Tomlinson and Jeremy Heiker, Jimmy and Jill Tomlinson, Chris Dreitzler, and Jonathan Dreitzler as well as many great nieces and great nephews and other extended family members. He is preceded in death by his sister, Jackie Davis Carter, his son, Bucky Davis, his brother-in-law Pat Tomlinson and Jane Tomlinson of Moultrie and nephew Paul Tomlinson; sister-in-law, Jane Dreitzler; and grand nephew, Gavin Hancock of Valdosta.

Funeral services will be at 2pm on Friday, April 17, 2026 at Dasher Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Redland Church of Christ Cemetery. The family will visit prior to the service from 1-2pm. Online condolences may be shared at www.mclanecares.com.
