Betty Wiggins Dyal, 64, of Valdosta, died on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman following a lengthy illness. She was born in Lowndes County on August 9, 1945 to the late Eugene and Lucille Weeks Wiggins. She had for a time worked at Shoney's restaurant as a waitress. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Mullis and her fiancée, Tom Hughes both of Lake Park; a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Amanda Wilson of Quitman; four grandchildren, Jonathan Barrentine, Ashley Wilson, Christopher Mullis and Noah Matthew Wilson; her husband, Floyd Dyal; two sisters, Imogene Wiggins Kenyon of Dasher and Wanda Wiggins of Valdosta. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Wiggins, and a granddaughter, Jessica Barrentine.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Sunset Hill Cemetery with Jerry Carter officiating. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanefuneralservices.com. Carson McLane.
