Betty Jo Barfield

BETTY JO BARFIELD, 68, of Naylor, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at home.

She was born April 9, 1941 in Ruskin, a daughter of Aleen O'Neal Fender and the late R.N. Fender. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Albert Kennedy of Naylor; one son, Jimmy Barfield of Valdosta; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; her mother, Aleen Fender of Valdosta; one sister, Ruth Harnage and husband David of Valdosta; and one brother, Richard Fender and wife Gail of Waycross. She was predeceased by her father; her husband, Jimmy Barfield; and three brothers, R.W. Fender, Arthur Fender, and James Fender.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Barfield will be held at 11:00 am Friday, February 5, 2010, at the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Scarbrough officiating.
