Betty Jean Tyson Wisenbaker

Betty Jean Tyson Wisenbaker, 81, of Valdosta, died on Thursday, June 8, 2017. Born in Moultrie, on May 4, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Mary Tompkins Tyson. Mrs. Wisenbaker enjoyed painting, cooking and baking. She also loved flowers.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Wisenbaker; daughter, Ronda Wisenbaker Smith; son, Ira Wisenbaker of Valdosta; daughter-in-law, Peggy Tison Wisenbaker, widow to the late Ronny Wisenbaker of Valdosta; grandchildren, Lauren Smith Rumsey and Ethan Rumsey, Lindsay Smith Nolte and Adam Nolte, David Chandler Smith; great granddaughter, Sawyer Rose Rumsey; sister, Vera Copeland Bentley; sister-in-law Blanche Cone Hogan; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2017, at Dasher Church of Christ at two p.m. Burial will follow at Dasher Cemetery. Carson McLane Funeral Home is serving the Wisenbaker family. Condolences may be made online at www.mclanecares.com.
