Betty Jean Durrance Morgan

Betty Jean Durrance Morgan, 65, of Hahira, passed away Monday, December 7, 2015, at her home after a long illness with her family by her side.

She was born June 4, 1950 in Lakeland, a daughter of the late Aaron and Hattie Mathis Durrance. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, greatly loved her family and friends, and had a special place in her heart for animals.

Betty is survived by her husband of forty-nine years, Archie Morgan of Hahira; three daughters, Patricia Morgan of Moultrie, Samantha Morgan of Lakeland, and Donna Matthews of Tomah, WI; two sons, William Morgan of Andalusia, AL, and Michael Morgan of Hahira; one grandson, Cameron Thomas of Vancouver, WA; five granddaughters, Alice Mendez of Columbus, Jennifer Morgan-Ferguson of Hahira, Kristin Pearson of Tuscaloosa, AL, Sarah Morgan of Mobile, AL, and Lilly Morgan of Valdosta; two great-grandkids, A'vah and A'dyen; two brothers, Clifford Durrance and L.A. Mathis, both of Lakeland; one brother-in-law, Charles and wife Denise Morgan of Camden, AL; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Funeral Service for Mrs. Morgan will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2015, at the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home, with Rev. Scotty Mathis officiating.
