Benny F. Gibbs

BENNY F. GIBBS, 65, of Hahira died Monday, January 10, 2005 at his home. He was born on October 17, 1939 in Cook County to the late Kenneth Lummie and Nell Howell Gibbs and was a lifelong resident of Cook and Lowndes counties. Mr. Gibbs was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a Drywall Contractor.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter in law, Glenn and Dana Gibbs, Ken Gibbs all of Hahira, two daughters and sons in law, Sissy and Lonnie Browning, Sherree and Allen Browning all of Lakeland, thirteen grandchildren, Amy Gibbs, Jacob Gibbs, Shawn and Kasie Gibbs, Justin Gibbs, Ryan Gibbs, Natasha Gibbs Billy Hodges, Shane Hodges, David Browning, Sonya Browning, Brandon Harnage, Alex Harnage, Kyle Harnage, one great granddaughter, Haley Browning. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Adams Gibbs who died on December 21, 2004, a son, Jerry Vinn Gibbs and a great granddaughter, Morgan Anderson.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, January 12, 2005 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home with the Rev. Leonard Harnage officiating. Burial will follow in the Fellowship Cemetery in Cecil. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Condolences may be conveyed online at www.mclanefuneralservices.com.
