Benjamin (BJ) James, 38, of Valdosta, Georgia passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026. He was born on February 2, 1988 in Valdosta to Barbara James and Bennie J James.

He is survived by his parents; his two half-brothers, Bill Johnson of Savannah, GA and David Johnson of Watkinsville, GA; aunts, Brenda James of Valdosta, GA, Sandra (Keith) Barfield of Lakeland, GA, and Sybil Suggs of Quitman, GA; uncles, Mark (Brenda) Renfroe of Birmingham, AL, Lewis (Pat) Jones of Cairo, GA, Sammy (Marie) James of Valdosta, Jimmy James of Kissimmee, FL, and Danny (Pam) James of Cairo, GA. He was preceded by his uncle, Mike Suggs; aunts, Sulee James, Bobbie Coody, and Penny Kelly; and grandparents, Nancy & Henton Renfroe and Dorothy & Robert James.
