Benigno Soto Ortega

Benigno Soto Ortega, 76, of Lake Park, died on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at his home following a period of declining health. He was born in Mexico of February 25, 1947, to the late Jose Ortega and Maria De Jesus Soto. He was the owner/operator of Ortega Mobile Home Park and a member of Manantial de Vida Church. He was married for over 59 years to his loving wife, Maria, and loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed going back home to Mexico to visit family members and old friends that were still a big part of his life. He was known as a hard- working man that provided for his family and taught and lived the virtues of work and “family first”.

Mr. Ortega is survived by his wife, Maria Del Pilar of Lake Park; his children and their spouses, Ismael and Francisca Ortega of Texas, Mauricio Ortega of Valdosta, Maria and Jose Camargo of Statenville, Mario and Araceli Ortega of Lake Park, Maria and Ismael Lopez of Statenville, Julio and Lily Ortega of Texas, and Reynaldo Ortega of Lake Park; his grandchildren, Ismael Jr., Venessa, Amanda, Selena, Israel, Mary Jo, Mauricio Jr., Norma, Manny, Benny, Fabricio, and Aylyn Ortega, Willie, Juan, Monica, Angel, Hector, and Antonio Camargo, Mario Jr., Andrew, and Alicia Ortega, Miky, Nancy, and Natalie Ortega, Cesar, Hector, Emmanuel, David, and Aaron Ortega; three sisters and one brother, Isabel Ortega, and Jose Luis Ortega both of Mexico, Graciela Zapata of Texas, and Margarita Ortega of Florida. He was preceded by his parents; one brother, Mauricio Ortega; Four sisters, Enedina Ortega, Maria Elena Ortega, Manuela Esparza and Rosa Hernandez.

Services for Mr. Benigno Soto Ortega will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. The burial will follow in the Ortega family cemetery in Lake Park. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane.

Benigno Soto Ortega de 75 años, de Lake Park, murió el jueves 23 de febrero de 2023 en su casa después de un período de deterioro de la salud. Nació en México el 25 de febrero de 1947, hijo de José Ortega y María De Jesús Soto. Era el propietario / operador de Ortega Mobile Home Park y miembro de la iglesia Manatial de Vida. Estuvo casado por más de 59 años con su amada esposa, María Ortega. También le encantaba pasar tiempo con su familia. Le gustaba volver a casa en México para visitar a amigos y familiares. Era conocido como un hombre trabajador que mantenía a su familia y enseñaba y vivía las virtudes del trabajo y la "familia primero".

Al Sr. Ortega le sobreviven su esposa, María Del Pilar de Lake Park; sus hijos y sus cónyuges: Ismael y Fransica Ortega de Texas, Mauricio Ortega de Lake Park, María y José Camargo de Statenville, Mario y Araceli Ortega de Lake Park, María y Ismael López de Statenville, Julio y Lily Ortega de Texas, y Reynaldo Ortega de Lake Park; sus nietos: Ismael Jr, Vanessa, Amanda, Selena, Israel, Mary Jo, Mauricio Jr, Norma, Manny, Benny, Aylyn, Fabricio, Willie, Juan, Monica, Angel, Hector, Antonio, Mario Jr, Andrew, Alicia, Miguel Jr, Nancy, Natalie, Julio Jr, Hector, Emmanuel, David, Aaron. Sus hermanos tres hermanas y un hermano; Isabel Ortega y José Luis Ortega de México, Graciela Zapata de Texas y Margarita Ortega de Florida. Fue procedido por sus padres; un hermano; Mauricio Ortega y cuatro hermanas; Enedina Ortega, María Elena Ortega, Manuela Esparza y Rosa Hernández.

Los servicios para el Sr. Benigno Soto Ortega se llevarán a cabo el lunes 27 de febrero de 2023 a las 10 a.m. en la capilla de la funeraria Carson McLane.
