Belva Moseley Mann, 102, of Hahira, died on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at the Heritage House Nursing Home. Born on August 22, 1906 in Meridian, Mississippi to the late Oliver Wesley Wilkins and Minnie Lee Goodgame Wilkins, and was formerly of Pascagoula MS. and Stanton VA., she had lived in Hahira since 1992. Mrs. Mann was a member of the Eastern Star, had a great love for music and especially playing her piano and loved her cats. She was very active in her church, Bethany Baptist Church, where she loved serving in Sunday School and with the children at Vacation Bible School.
Survivors include her daughter, Frankie Joyce Hall of Hahira; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Frank & Lori Hall of Ocean Springs, MS., Barry & Karen Hall of Hahira, Bruce & Helen Hall of Mobile, AL, Kenneth & Tamara McMillan of Dallas, TX, Randy & Sheila McMillan; Larry McMillan all of Jacksonville, FL, Herbert, Jr. and Nancy Lewis, Linda Pelgram and Paul Lewis all High Point, NC. Also surviving are several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Grady Franklin Moseley, her second husband, J. Franklin Mann; two daughters, Jane Lewis and Rebecca McMillan; two sisters, Sara Bailey and Ailene Prestridge and one brother, Curtis T. Wilkins.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mann will be held at 1pm, Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Bethany Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Martin/McLane Funeral Home in Hahira on Friday from 6-8 p.m. Condolences to the family may be made on the obituary page of www.mclanefuneralservices.com Martin/McLane Funeral Home of Hahira.
