Barbara Baird Morse

Barbara Baird Morse, 80, of Hahira, began celebrating her life in Heaven on Saturday, March 10, 2012.

She was born November 2, 1931 in Valdosta, a daughter of the late Lonnie and Helen Hitchcock Baird. She was a graduate of Lowndes County High School and honorable served in the U.S. Air Force. Mrs. Morse was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, and formerly of First United Methodist Church, Valdosta.

She is survived by her husband, J.B. Morse of Hahira; daughter and son-in-law, Rose and Steve Fout of Galloway, OH; son, William Vanacore of Hahira; daughter, Rebecca Vanacore of Hahira; daughter, Kathy Stump of Greenfield, MO; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; brother, Stephen Garland Baird and wife Bobbie of Thonosassa, FL; special sister, Emma Beatty and husband Murray, and their family, of Pavo; and many additional extended family and loved ones.

A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2012, in the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home, Valdosta, with Rev. Jack Atkinson officiating.
