Aubrey Jackson "Jack" Strickland, 85, of Valdosta, Georgia, passed away on October 20, 2026. Born in Madison, Florida, on January 8, 1941, to the late James and Zudie Strickland, Jack lived a life defined by hard work, faith, and an unbreakable devotion to his family and his Lord.

Jack loved his family before anything else. He shared 62 beautiful, foundational years of marriage with his beloved wife, Faye. Together, they built a life centered on love, unity, and a shared faith in God that guided him through every season of life. Jack was a faithful member of the First Church of Clyattville. He served as the treasurer for 13 years as well as being the general handyman, making improvements all along the way.

Jack was a remarkably hard worker who constantly strove to provide the best for his family. A natural entrepreneur, he was ahead of his time, capturing the excitement of early home television by selling and installing satellite systems as they first entered American households. His business mindset also led him to establish "Video Center USA," a video store with locations in Lake Park, Georgia, and Madison, Florida. The store was a true family affair, where the entire family worked side by side. Alongside his entrepreneurial ventures, Jack maintained a 25-year career at Owens Illinois in Clyattville, where his dedication and strong work ethic ultimately elevated him into management.

When he wasn't working, Jack found his peace outdoors. He loved retreating to his cabin on the Suwannee River to fish, and he simply enjoyed being outside spending time working in his yard. His legacy of determination, faith, and family unity will be forever cherished by those who knew and loved him.

Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Faye Strickland of Valdosta, GA; his daughters, Joan (Walter) Stembridge of Valdosta, GA, Sheryl (Brian) Norton of Valdosta, GA, Karen (Bill) Stewart of Tallahassee, FL, and Lori Smith; his brother, Claude "Nick" (Rhonda) Strickland of Tennessee; as well as 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Zudie Strickland; his two sons, Jackie Strickland Jr. and Pete Strickland; and his brother, Willy "Jimmy" Strickland.

Services for Jack will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 23 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Online condolences may be shared on the obituary page at www.mclanecares.com Carson McLane Funeral Home.
