Arnold Elmer Hogan, 85, of Hahira, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 27, 2007. He was born in Chiefland, FL on February 1, 1922 to the late Eugene and Leila Woods Hogan. Arnold served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Air Force, retiring as Master Sergeant after 24 years. He was also a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Hahira.
Arnold is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Ilene Barbaro, of Brooklyn, NY, Ruth & Ray DePuy of Ray City, Donna and James Exum of Hahira, Dorothy and David Werkmeister of Gilbert, AZ. He is also survived by his brother Irvin Hogan; his nephew Randy Hogan; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Dorothy Mae Haislup Hogan and his son William Hogan.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2007 at Bethany Baptist Church in Hahira with Reverend Don Smith officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, August 31, 2007 at Galilee Cemetery in Chiefland, FL. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 1-2 p.m. at the church.
