Anthony B. “Tony” Rogers, 66, of Hahira, died on December 5, 2025, at his home. Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on July 17, 1959, Tony was a son of the late Thomas Edward and Annette Campbell Rogers. Raised in Dalton, Georgia, he worked with Dalton Utilities in the early 1980’s before enlisting in the United States Air Force in 1982. He served his country proudly in the military as a Medical Admin, during the Gulf War in the early 1990’s, retiring from the Air Force in 2007. Following his retirement Tony worked for several more years at Moody Air Force Base in Civil Service. After leaving Civil Service Tony was especially devoted to his grandchildren, staying home and caring for them, and cheering them on at sporting events. Tony was well known for walking his dog “Ratty” all over the town of Hahira. He was also a lifelong Tennessee Volunteers fan, watching every football season since the late 1970s.
Survivors are his son, Johnathan (Tiffany) Rogers of Cook County, daughter, Amanda (Shea) Rogers of Dayton, Ohio, grandchildren, Charles Rogers and Emma Rogers of Lowndes County, Abigail Rogers of Cook County; sisters, Susan (Lamar) Dixon, Kim (Kenny) Brummitt, Carmen Collins, Vickie McCarthy, and Rhonda Rogers all of Dalton; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Butch Rogers.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Martin/McLane Funeral Home. In Hahira. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until service time. McLane Funeral and Cremation services has been entrusted to care for the Rogers family.
