Angela “Angie” Allbritton Purvis, 59, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on July 28, 1966, in Hahira, Georgia, Angie was the daughter of the late George Isaac Allbritton, Jr. and Geneva Marie Herndon. She was a former member of Westside Baptist Church and actively participated in a Bible study group with her family and friends.

Angie found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved shopping, collecting purses, getting her nails done, and watching her favorite television show, Law & Order. She was rarely seen without her favorite drink, a Pepsi, close at hand. Known for her generous spirit and caring nature, Angie always placed the needs of others before her own. Within her family, she was often the peacemaker, bringing comfort, understanding, and love to those around her. Above all else, Angie treasured her family and cherished every opportunity to spend time with them.

Angie retired from Fowler & Holley after a dedicated career as an administrative assistant.

She is survived by her loving husband, Theron Wayne Purvis of Lake Park; her children, Cameron and Taylor Young of Lake Park, Casey and Dan Cruz of Ramstein, Germany, Donovan Purvis of Naples, Florida, Brooke Purvis and Fabian Mesa of Greenville, South Carolina, and Ashlyn Purvis and her fiancé, Branden Powell, of Lake City, Florida; her grandchildren, Vivienne Young, Arabella Mesa, and Kaleb Mesa; her mother, Geneva Herndon of Valdosta; her sisters, Shannon and Jimmy Bridges, Dana and Wade Weeks, and Geri and Jody Evans; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family members; and a special cousin, Jeannie Johnson. Angie was preceded in death by her father, George Isaac Allbritton, Jr.

A funeral service for Angie will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home, with Mr. John Klimko officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m.
