Andrew Franklin Carter

Andrew Franklin Carter, 45, of Statenville died at his residence on Monday, March 21, 2011 following a short illness. He was born in Valdosta to the late Willie Martin Carter and Hazel Royals Carter and has been a resident of this area his entire life. He was a member of Sardis Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother, Hazel Carter of Statenville; a sister and brother-in-law, Latrelle and Sean Harvey of Patterson, Georgia; a brother, Martin T. Carter of Statenville; brother and sister-in-law, Clinton and Judy Carter of Valdosta; two nephews, Patrick and Payton Carter of Valdosta; two nieces, Angela Brady of Waycross and Melissa Jones of Valdosta. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two infant sisters and a nephew, Benjamin Carter.

Services for Andrew Franklin Carter will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Sardis Baptist Church in Echols County. The burial will follow in the Carter Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Andrew Carter Memorial Fund established at BB&T.
